From the male elephant Maung Maung Lwin and female elephant Swe Yadana, a baby elephant Kyar May was born on today, 29th July 2017, at 1:00 hour in the morning. Since 29th July 2017 is the world’s Tiger Day, the name Kyar May was given to her, to commemorate the day.

At the Nay Pyi Daw Zoological Garden, there are a total of fourteen elephants, and among them, the male elephant Maung Maung Lwin is 24 years old, while the female elephant Swe Yadana is eight years old.

At the Nay Pyi Daw Zoological Garden very spacious grassland with huge ponds are provided for all the animals to enjoy staying their natural way of happy life.

Well trained elephants are demonstrating with variety of dances to entertain the visitors on week-ends and holidays.
