In collaboration with Yangon City Development Committee, Yangon City Heritage Trust and Phillips Electronics, installation of Blue Plaque Ceremony was done on 14th October 2018, at the tiger house (formerly known as the carnivore house), at the Yangon Zoological Gardens. The opening ceremony was attended by Yangon Division Minister U Phyo Min Thein and responsible persons.

Blue Plaque means, a round blue sign attached to the façade of a building, to commemorate the historical significance, typically given the name of a famous or eminent person, who once lived or near the building.

The Blue Plaque is normally installed in the world’s cities, where there is a long history of the buildings and Yangon Heritage Trust is making arrangements to install Blue Plaques at the buildings in Yangon City, which have long histories for the recognition of the public.
